This blog is for students of my Essential Apologetics class.

St. Peter calls us to "Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence" (1 Peter 3:15, RSV-CE). Our course aims to prepare you to do just that. We will learn how to respond to atheists, relativists, Protestants, and others who question our beliefs, and explore the Catholic perspective on major issues based on reason, Scripture, and history. We will also practice answering typical objections and learn about resources to find answers.
