Final class update

Thank you and thanks be to God for another great year! I'm thankful to be saying goodbye on a high note in spite of the crazy state of the world. Once we get settled I'll be working in earnest on continuing the classes online. I'll touch base with you when I have something more solid to share on that.

Meanwhile, here's what we covered at our last class.

P&C class update for 12/15

Submitted by Suchi Myjak on

Our next class will be Sunday, January 5.
(No class the next two weeks. Enjoy your Christmas break!)

Last time:
We began with a brief discussion of the question the students were asked to consider for last time's homework.

We then continued to the main topic, Truth -- what it is, why it matters, and how we can arrive at it. In the P&C class, we will be considering arguments from a philosophical point of view, i.e. looking at evidence in a logical way to arrive at the truth, rather than using opinions or beliefs.

Class date: 17 March, 2019

IMPORTANT: The focus is on transgender ideology and its errors, as distinct from individuals who experience transgender feelings.

How can it be that if a girl likes pink and princesses, she’s the victim of tyrannical social conditioning, but if a boy does, that means he’s really a girl?

1. Why does transgenderism matter to you? Particular areas where the ideology is being pushed strongly today:

No class this Sunday.
Our next class meeting is Sunday, Nov 04.

Summary of last time:
God loves us and wants us to be happy, so He gives us rules to help us make the kinds of choices that will in fact make us happy. There is a connection between happiness and holiness -- the choices that will help us become the best versions of ourselves are the same choices that will also bring us happiness.
