Submitted by Suchi Myjak on

The 12-week Theology of the Body class begins Wednesday afternoons starting Feb 9. Class will meet for an hour each week, starting at 12:30 Pacific Time.

Please click here to sign up.

Since this is a "beta" offering, your registration fee for the full course will be only $50 per student. Because discussion is such an important part of the class,  enrollment will be limited to 10 students.

When you complete the registration process, you'll have a chance to set up an account for your student to access class materials. Please follow the directions on the page to do so, using either your own email or your student's.

Students will need the YOU Student Workbook for class, part of the YOU study program from Ascension Press. This will be our primary text; I will provide all other materials. I will send you the details when you sign up.

Here's a brief overview of the class. For a more detailed rundown, please consult the "Year C" section of the Essential Apologetics Overview. (If you don't have the Overview yet, you can request it here.)

Engaging the Culture with the Fullness of Truth

The Catholic Church is a bulwark of sanity and reason in a culture that is increasingly in danger of losing not only its moral compass, but its rationality. This class for high-school students in grades 10-12 will explore the soundness, integrity, and depth of Catholic teaching on matters of essential import to every facet of our lives: springs of living water to cleanse away the shallow, fragmented, and ultimately insane counter-claims of the world. Our primary topic will be the Theology of the Body, in an age-appropriate adaptation that applies this profound teaching not only to marriage, but also to vocations, celibacy for the Kingdom, and living in the freedom of God's children. We'll also investigate the underlying disconnect between cultural belief and reality, and practice applying logic and critical thinking to the major issues of our time.

Class begins this week, so Sign up now!
