P&C class update for April 5

Submitted by Suchi Myjak on

The next class meeting will be next Sunday, April 19.
No class this Sunday (4/12).

Last time, we listened to and discussed Act 3 of the audio drama Robert & Emma. In this episode,"Emma's Dream," Emma has to choose a Supreme Court decision that she disagrees with, and argue the opposite before a mock panel of judges in order to win a scholarship to law school. Issues of ethics, justice, and academic freedom are addressed.

If you missed the class or want to review, I have posted the class videos. As per usual, they are unlisted, so people need the link to find them. Please check your email for the links.

  • If you prefer to read the script, you can find it at the Skype chat.
  • The discussion handout was emailed last week. Let me know if you need it sent again.
  • Please see the resources post below for the homework video, links and more.

Homework:

  1. Watch the brief Irish pro-life video: "Abortion Never Saves a Woman's Life." (see Resources post @ blog, below)
  2. Please use code PCS345 @ principlesandchoices.com to get the article: "After-birth abortion: why should the baby live?" Choose one or more sections to analyze in light of the principles we have studied this year. You may want to print off the section you select using this PDF link. Bring your analysis and questions to class.

Future class meetings and tentative topics:
Please see the class calendar at the blog for the latest.

A blessed Holy Week to you all, and Happy Easter!
