Class will meet next Sunday, November 8.
Last time, we worked through the Introduction and first chapter of Theology of the Body for Teens. Key points:
- God loves us and desires to have an intimate, personal relationship with each of us.
- Our bodies teach us profound truths about the reason for our existence and our purpose in life.
- Our bodies are, as Scripture says, "very good" as they come from the Creator's hand.
- Theology means the study of God, and "Theology of the Body" means the study of God and the purpose of our existence, as discovered and revealed through our bodies.
- God designed us for communion with Him and with each other.
- Our bodies make visible the invisible mystery of God.
- The reason for our existence is to be united in an eternal relationship of love with God in heaven.
At home reading assignment:
- "Digging Deeper: Who am I?" on pages 12-14 and
- "LIVE IT OUT: Living with Purpose" on p. 15.
Optional: Complete the Prayer & Journal Activity on p. 16. (Adoration is a great time for this.)
If you missed missed class or want to review:
Please read the Introduction, pp 1-3, and Chapter 1, pp 5-12, of the workbook.
Open Mic class:
Students had expressed an interest in an "open mic" class session at which a broader range of questions could be addressed. If you have a question, please email it or write me a note. I have small note papers in class.
